Did Kanye West Just Drop Out Of The 2020 Presidential Race?
The Presidential Dropout.
Listen: we all knew that a Presidential run from Kanye West was going to be chaotic. But it seems as though we all underestimated just how chaotic.
Since the extremely late in the game announcement that the rapper was readying himself to run for President, Kanye has been all over the place. First, he had to fight back against his sheer lack of time. His announcement was so late that he has already been barred from appearing on the ballot in some states, and he was in a race against time to get his paperwork together.
Then, there was the matter of his policies. In an interview with Forbes, the rapper called Planned Parenthood the work of the devil, and came out against vaccines. Now, further complicating matters, one of the people Kanye hired to help him get on the ballot has claimed that he has dropped out.
“He’s out,” Steve Kramer, one of Kanye’s campaign staff, told Intelligencer last week. He went on to say that he’d “let [Intelligencer] know what I know once I get all our stuff cancelled.”
But a mere matter of hours after that interview, Kanye posted a video of himself demonstrating how to vote.

Kanye only announced he was throwing his hat into the presidential ring on July 4. “We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” he wrote on Twitter. “I am running for president of the United States!”
Putting it bluntly, the reaction was mixed.
Kramer is but one voice, and it’s entirely possible that the rapper mentioned the possibility of him dropping out to the advisor off the cuff. So is Kanye West dropping out of the 2020 race? As far as any of us can tell, the answer is: who bloody knows.
