Jimmy Fallon Trashed Kirin J Callinan And I Guess They’re Beefing Now
Very here for this.
You might have heard that Kirin J Callinan’s new EDM-country single ‘Big Enough’ has recently become the internet’s new favourite meme, owing to a scene in its music video in which a giant, semi-transparent Jimmy Barnes screams over a mountaintop.
It is ridiculous as it sounds.
But apparently not everyone is in on the joke. Last night, US talk show host Jimmy Fallon made his opinion of the track known by featuring it in his ‘Do Not Play’ segment, pulling a bunch of pained facial expressions during Barnes’ legendary scream.
Callinan and Barnes were quickly notified of the sledge, and have both since responded:
“Beloved Mr. Fallon,” Kirin wrote on Instagram. “Do I detect an air of cynicism? An ounce of ignorance? A shroud of idiocy and/or a complete lack of conceptual and cultural understanding?”
“Show some dog gamn respect. Whilst it might be fun to sit on your TV throne in the land to make believe and believe you can b’little the little fella; truth is you’ve less made a mockery of me, more shown your inexcusable ignorance and in the process, insulted a nation.
“This won’t be the last you hear from the unrelenting blizzard that is the ice cold wrath o the land down under.”
Jimmy Barnes opted for something a little less verbose:
I’m with you Kirin. I think you are a very talented young man. Tell Jimmy if he’s not careful we will move next door to him. https://t.co/KtmmVABW4Y
