After giving us his rock ‘n’ roll take on vampire mythology with Only Lovers Left Alive, indie film maestro Jim Jarmusch is turning his attention to zombies. And he’s doing it with one of the greatest casts ever assembled.

The first trailer for The Dead Don’t Die hit the web today, and don’t let the retro vibes fool you, because this thing is stacked with famous faces. Bill Murray and Adam Driver star as a pair of small-town cops who find themselves going up against the undead hordes, while Tilda Swinton’s plays a Scottish undertaker who also happens to be a master with a samurai sword. Look, don’t question it, okay?

The trailer also features a truly staggering number of cameos, from the likes of Steve Buscemi, Selena Gomez, RZA, Tom Waits, Danny Glover, Rosie Perez and Carol Kane, along with Iggy Pop as a flesh-eating ghoul, which is pretty much perfect casting if you ask me. No offence Iggy.

The Dead Don’t Die hits cinemas in the US on June 14. Hopefully, it arrives in Australia not too long after that.
