Sydney band Ocean Alley have emerged victorious in this year’s Hottest 100, taking out the #1 spot with their hit ‘Confidence’.

‘Confidence’ faced stiff competition from the likes of Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’ (which came in at 4), and Amy Shark’s ‘I Said’ (5). But ultimately, it was easy funk rock of ‘Confidence’ that came through.

Elsewhere, Fisher’s tech house stomper ‘Losing It’ came in at #2, Mallrat came through at #7, and Ruby Fields’ ‘Dinosaurs’ snuck in at #9. Check out the full list below, and tune into triple j tomorrow for when they count down the songs that just missed out on the top 100.
