The ruling was handed down in a New York City courtroom. The disgraced mogul was fronting the court on five separate charges. His conviction rests on two separate incidents, including the assault of Project Runway production assistant Miriam Haley and the assault of an unnamed victim.
As The Guardian reports, the first incident has a minimum sentence of five years; the second has no minimum sentence.
The sentencing of Harvey Weinstein will occur on March 11. He is still facing separate charges in Las Angeles, relating to two incidents with two separate women back in 2013.
Standing in front of the court, Weinstein’s defence lawyer Donna Rotunno praised the way that the producer took the sentence that was handed down against him.
“He took it like a man,” Rotunno said.
