Amazon Prime Video’s New Series ‘Hanna’ Drops This Week, So Cancel Your Plans
'Hanna' hits Amazon Prime Video on March 29.
Our new obsession, Amazon’s Original series Hanna, is out now on Prime Video, and you’re going to want to jump on to this immediately.
If you haven’t heard of it, Hanna is an action series about a 16-year-old girl raised in the Polish wilderness by her ex-CIA father and her attempts to figure out the truth about who she really is.
The series follows her as she grapples with secrets of her identity and her struggles to be a normal teenager. It’s a classic story – don’t we all know that being a teen was hard enough without the whole “being raised in the woods” thing.
Starring Esmé Creed-Miles as the title character and Joel Kinnaman as her father, the series looks like it’s stayed true to the original film, which is to say it’s mostly about a badass girl kicking the absolute shit out of bad guys.
Hanna is adapted from the 2011 film of the same name and features an equally badass female lead in the form of Hanna herself. If you’ve been all about the crop of empowering, women-led films and series coming out of Hollywood lately, it’s exactly the kind of show you need, to be completely honest.
Bring it on!
