Grimes Will Not Hang With Steve Buscemi, Continues To Rule
The latest clip in the American Express Unstaged series sees the most honest brush-off ever from the internet's new best friend.
A bunch of clips have been trickling out over the past few weeks, chronicling Steve Buscemi’s new friendship with Vampire Weekend (apparently, he and Chris Biao are distant cousins?)
It’s all been part of a well executed promo campaign for the latest American Express’ Unstaged Series, for which Buscemi will be directing a live stream of the band’s New York show today. We cringed through their first meeting, watched them get to know each other over bowling and egg-painting, and enjoyed their ambush of NYC mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio.
But the latest clip is the best so far, mainly because it represents a continuation of Grimes’ winning streak. Here she gets to dismiss Vampire Weekend, offend Steve Buscemi, and be delightfully awkward all at once.
