Nearly 10 years ago now, Katy Perry delivered a version of her chart-conquering ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)’ in Simlish, as part of a collab she was releasing with the game: The Sims 3: Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats.

The cover went bugnuts, and it kicked off in earnest a streak of Simlish covers: Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Run Away With Me’ got a run, as did Superorganism’s ‘Everybody Wants To Be Famous’, Pussycat Dolls’ ‘Don’t Cha’, and tracks from My Chemical Romance, Lily Allen, and a heap more. If you’re interested — this piece by NME has wrapped up the best ones.

Now, it’s Glass Animals’ turn. The British band have redone their Hottest 100-topping song ‘Heat Waves’ in Simlish, as part of an in-game music festival called The Sims Sessions. Popstar Bebe Rexha and Joy Oladokun also performed.

Frontman Dave Bayley is rendered fully as a Sim, performing in front of jubilant, green-crystal-headed crowd. Watch it all happen below.
