Gang of Youths Covered Nick Cave And All Of Our Dreams Have Now Come True
A match made in heaven.
Sydney favourites Gang of Youths have shared a cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ ‘Straight To You’, a lesser-known track from the band’s 1992 record Henry’s Dream.
The cover was recorded as part of a playlist titled ‘Made In Australia’, put together for Amazon new streaming service — Amazon Music — which officially launched last month. We don’t know which other local acts were tapped for the playlist, but we do know that it drops this Friday, March 9.
“The brief was ‘Australian’, so naturally, my first instinct was Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds,” Le’aupepe wrote of the cover on Facebook.
“‘Straight To You’ is, in my opinion, an underrated classic from an under-appreciated album — hopefully, anybody hearing the GOY version will find their way back to the original.”
The Sydney band are currently gearing up for a mammoth North American tour, in support of their ARIA Award winning (and Hottest 100 dominating) record Go Farther In Lightness.
