We Don’t Want To Alarm You, But This Might Be Flume’s First New Track
And it's sounding very, very good.
Update: The mixtape has dropped, listen to it in full here.
Earlier today, Sydney favourite Flume announced the release of his new mixtape, Hi This Is Flume.
It’s the first release from the producer since his globe-conquering 2016 record Skin (not to discount that stacked remix package in 2017) and it’s scheduled to land first thing tomorrow morning, Australian time.
We have very little idea of what the mixtape will involve — whether it will be remixes, originals, collaborations — but we do know it’s going to be accompanied by a ‘Mixtape Visualiser’, which is currently counting down the hours to 7am AEDT on his YouTube page.
And now, we may have gotten an indication of what it sounds like, because it’s being reported that a new Flume track has been snuck into Lollapalooza’s line-up teaser. There’s no confirmation from Flume or his label Future Classic yet as to whether it is actually him — but given the way it sounds, there’s almost no doubt in our minds that this is the Sydney producer’s work.
