Flight of the Conchords was the best, weirdest little show out — it gave off-beat New Zealand humour its deserved moment in the sun, weirdly captured the anxiousness of trying to make it overseas and introduced the world to Rhys Darby’s hyper-Kiwi accent (sorry, ecksunt).

Its two-season run on HBO was way back in 2009, but now it looks like Bret and Jemaine will ride again. In an interview with Indiewire about jis newly-released film People Places Thingsa a couple of days ago, Jemaine Clement casually dropped that he and fellow Conchord Bret McKenzie are working on a Flight of the Conchords movie.

“We have actually started writing one. But who knows if it will ever be made, we’ve written some notes for some different film ideas. We’re not down to the stage where we’re going, ‘The film is going to be like this,’ it could be this, this, this, this, this,” Clement said.

It’s still all very vague and what-if, and the Conchords have been thinking out loud about a movie for a while; McKenzie was talking up the possibility of a film back in 2011. Hopefully any new movie venture includes highly sexual content like this:

Also, People Places Things looks pretty good! Jessica Williams is in it!
