The Internet’s New Favourite Game Is Curating A Festival Using The Letters Of Your Name
Our thoughts are with anyone who has an 'X' or a 'Y' in their name.
According to most experts, coronavirus has disrupted the festival industry for the foreseeable future. But does that mean that we have to live in an entirely festival-free world? Nosirree.
See, enterprising musician Chet Porter took to his Twitter yesterday to devise a game in which users curate a festival based on the letters of their own name. Providing a demonstration, Porter developed his own weekend of music, headlined by — who else? — himself.

Quickly, the trend took off. Some users played the game very seriously, constructing the kind of festival that any music fan would leap over themselves to see, while others took things in a far more jovial, meme-centric direction.
Feast your eyes, for instance, in this incredible brace of headliners curated by Twitter user Perla.

Or these banging festivals that I would absolutely head over to right now if I could:

Like I said though, some people had a bit of fun with the format — most notably comedian Limmy, who used his festival headliners to spell out “Clap For Boris”, a reference to a bizarre trend in the UK that saw conservatives stand out the front of their house and clap for then-unwell Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Then there was Twitter user @ceryshodgson. They were even more direct, spelling out a simple message for British conservatives.

Of course, this game isn’t fun for everyone. Imagine if you were say, the child of Elon Musk and Grimes, with a name like X Æ A-12. You’d have a rough time, I bet.
