Falls Festival has just announced a massive line-up for its highly anticipated return later this year, with Lil Nas X and Arctic Monkeys both locked in to headline.

Lil Nas X is coming off the back of a year-long victory lap after releasing his debut album MONTERO, which earned him a boatload of Grammy nominations from the singles ‘Industry Baby’ and ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’. Arctic Monkeys are expected to release the follow-up to Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino sometime this year, having flagged last November that it was pretty much ready to go.

The rest of the line-up is similarly stacked, with Amyl & The Sniffers, Chvrches, Genesis Owusu, Ocean Alley, Korean-Sydney rap crew 1300, and Peach PRC all making the trip around the country. Dance fans will also be very happy, with beloved Newcastle selector Mall Grab on the bill, as well as renowned techno spinner Peggy Gou, and Jamie xx. Check out the full line-up below.

The festival will take place over the New Year’s period this year, with the event landing in Byron Bay, Birregurra in Victoria (a new site), and in Fremantle. Tickets are on sale 9 am sharp (local times) on Thursday, May 12.

Speaking of festivals, this morning Lost Paradise also announced a huge line-up featuring a bunch of similar acts. Headlined again by Arctic Monkeys and Lil Nas X, it’ll also feature acts like Cub Sport, The Vanns, King Stingray, Telenova, and so many more. Check out the full line-up over here; the festival kicks off on December 28 in Glenworth Valley, NSW.
