Donald Trump Tested Positive for COVID-19 And The Internet Is Responding Accordingly

US President Donald Trump and the First Lady, Melania Trump, both have coronavirus, the President has revealed in a Tweet.
The news broke shortly after it was revealed that Trump’s primary advisor, Hope Hicks, had also tested positive for the virus. “We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately,” he wrote. “We will get through this together!”

Online, people immediately noted that Trump has long seemed dismissive of the effects of the virus, quoting back at him the advice that he infamously gave that those diagnosed with the illness should just inject themselves with bleach.

Elsewhere, a number of people noted that Trump has repeatedly been suspicious about the use of masks. Although he pulled out his own mask during the recent Presidential Debate, he has repeatedly gone on the record in order to question their usefulness, and has been photographed on a number of occasions moving around the country without a mask. Indeed, during the debate, he even made fun of Biden for what he painted as excessive use of masks.
