Donald Glover’s ‘Atlanta’ Will Finally Air In Australia, And It’s About Damn Time
Better late than never.
In huge news for people who don’t know how to use a VPN, one of the best TV shows of last year will finally be made (legally) available in Australia.
Fresh off the back of its unexpected but extremely well deserved win for Best Comedy Series at yesterday’s Golden Globes, SBS has revealed that Donald Glover’s Atlanta is “coming soon” to the free-to-air network, as well as SBS Viceland and SBS On Demand.

The FX comedy-drama, which stars Glover along with Brian Tyree Henry as a pair of aspiring rappers, has received almost universal acclaim from critics and audiences alike. Given that the show starting airing in the US in September, the fact that it’s taken this long to get to Australia is kind of ridiculous, but better late than never I suppose.
FUCK YESSSSSSSSSSSSS, ATLANTA.
N.B. The fact no one in Australia streams/broadcasts this brilliant show is insane. https://t.co/6ASBMukIof

SBS has yet to confirm an air date (please be soon), but told Junkee that the show would “likely be included in part of a larger programming line-up regarding race issues.”
