The reason is simple: the good folks at Disneyland Resort in California know people find joy in different things. Thrill-seeker? They’ve got you covered. Fantasy lover? Here you go. Feeling nostalgic? Come on in.

Much has been made of how Star Wars should be defined: space opera, sci-fi, fantasy. Whatever it is for you, you’ll find it at the sprawling, 5.6 hectare land known as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Turns out, you don’t have to leave earth to visit a galaxy far, far away. The sprawling land is made up of multiple incredible attractions that bring to life an outpost set on the planet of Batuu. Here, you can build your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop; design, activate, and assemble a Droid at the Droid Depot; or take a spin behind the wheel of the Millennium Falcon at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

But the pièce de resistance of Galaxy’s Edge is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The one-of-a-kind attraction sees recruits (that’s us) accept a secret mission from the Resistance, which is squarely in the sights of the First Order.

It’ll Fuel Your Sense Of Adventure

If you’ve ever wondered how one becomes an Avenger, now you know.

The brand-new Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park is a must-visit for all aspiring superheroes, but don’t expect it to be a laidback experience. Visitors are expected to help keep Spider-Bots under control at Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure, get acquainted with the mystic arts of Dr Strange at the Ancient Sanctum, and help Rocket free his Guardian friends at Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

Then again, that’s all in a day’s work for an Avenger.

It’s Wildly Romantic By Night

One of the best things about Disneyland is that the magic doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. In fact, there’s even more amazingly romantic attractions to enjoy, including the world-famous Nighttime Spectaculars. They’re back on the cards after a hiatus, and they’re shaping up to be some of the best ever.

There are four amazing after-dark events to look forward to, including the Main Street Electrical Parade, Disneyland Forever, and the Fantasmic fireworks display, an extravagant nighttime show starring Mickey Mouse himself at Disneyland Park, along with World of Colour at Disney California Adventure Park.

The iconic Main Street Electrical Parade is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with an enchanting new grand finale that unites more than a dozen Disney and Pixar stories in one incredible display. The new finale has been imagineered around the theme of togetherness.
