Disney are the biggest entertainment conglomerate on the planet, a multimedia behemoth that has released some of the highest-grossing films in the history of the moving image. They’ve also released a lot of… uh… interesting titles.

Sure, the Marvel Cinematic Universe might have netted more money than the Gross National Product of a small country, but for every Avengers, there is an ’80s Don Knotts vehicle with some title like Too Many Ducks at the Wedding or Off to Mrs. Tiwilliger’s.

See, before every company on the planet decided that tight brand control was the way to make money, production companies used to bankroll whatever cheap nonsense they thought would get bums on seats. Hence, throughout the ’70s and ’80s, a barrage of Disney-branded films about mischievous otters, mischievous talking cars, and a mischievous Don Knotts.

These days, that era of Disney entertainment tends to get forgotten. And by design — the company rarely takes time to acknowledge such night terrors as the Jodie Foster-starring Candleshoe.

That is, until now. See, Disney has just released the full list of titles coming to the American version of their streaming service, Disney+ (it’s not clear yet which titles will also be available in Australia.) And wouldn’t you know it, as part of that announcement, Disney has gone through their entire back catalogue, and aired every bizarre wrinkle for their fans to see.

And in turn, the internet has lost its collective minds.

Feast your eyes, for instance, on what people had to say about CandleshoeMeet the Deedles, and Gus.

In fact, so inspired were they by the deluge of oddness coming out of the official Disney Twitter account, some internet pranksters decided to come up with some titles of their own.

And to be honest, I’d watch approximately 100% of these.

Get ready to watch the hell out of The Shaggy DA when Disney+ drops this November 12.
