Everybody Loves ‘Dinosaurs In Love’, A Sad Banger Written By A Four-Year-Old
It'll break your heart.
Britain’s poet laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, once said that true poetry “holds you up against an emotion and then nails you there.” And how else to better describe ‘Dinosaurs in Love’, a viral song written by a four-year-old about how dinosaurs were once in love and then a meteor hit the Earth and they all died.
The author of the heartbreaking work of staggering genius is Fenn Rosenthal, the daughter of musician Tom Rosenthal. With her dad’s help, Fenn penned the keenly-observed sad banger, a kind of halfway point between Nick Cave and The Wiggles. Fenn did the singing, Tom did the piano-playing. And the result?
True art.
Listen to ‘Dinosaurs in Love’ in full here:
Fenn, my nearly 4 year old daughter, recorded her first ever solo song today. She came up with all the words herself and I helped her a little bit with the tune. It’s called ‘Dinosaurs in Love’. 🦕❤️🦕 pic.twitter.com/erCgG0sUvP

Understandably, since Tom shared the song on Twitter, it’s been going off, with users celebrating its surprise plot twist — but they didn’t say goodbye!!! — and its heartfelt brand of emotion.
Okay, THREE THINGS:
1. OH MY GOD THAT IS SO CUTE I WANT TO SCREAM
2. This is SO on brand
