The New ‘Detective Pikachu’ Trailer Just Dropped And Holy Crap, That’s Mewtwo
The legendary Pokemon villain is not messing around.
A brand new trailer for the live action Pokemon movie Detective Pikachu has just hit the web, and hold on to your childhoods because yup, that’s Mewtwo.
The psychic supervillain makes his grand entrance at very end of the trailer, which also features a bunch of new Pokemon including Eevee, Machamp, Snorlax and a very angry looking Aipom. But I am all about Mewtwo, who is looking all kinds of pissed off (and also, kind of ripped?)
What role the legendary Pokemon will play in the film isn’t yet clear. Does he have something to do with Pikachu’s amnesia, or the fact that he sounds exactly like Ryan Reynolds? Only time will tell.
Detective Pikachu hits cinemas in Australia on May 9.
