Deadpool Was On The Cover Of Good Housekeeping, For Some Reason
It's a Thanksgiving miracle?
The Deadpool 2 marketing campaign has officially begun, and it’s as weird and wonderful as you could possibly imagine.
To start with, they’ve released a delightful family-themed Thanksgiving poster, featuring all the main players from the highly anticipated superhero sequel. Why Thanksgiving? Who knows. It’s also based on an iconic painting from 1943, which… okay, sure!

They’ve also put Deadpool on the cover of Good Housekeeping. Literally on the cover. That’s not a Photoshop job, but an actual limited edition copy of the magazine, which is apparently being handed out in select cities around the USA.
As reported in Collider, the Deadpool edition of Good Housekeeping has holiday letters, and a Deadpool guide to carving a turkey. It also features real recipes with a spin, such as “D’s Spiced Nuts”.

Speaking to Collider, Jane Francisco, the editor-in-chief of Good Housekeeping, shed some light on this Thanksgiving miracle.
“Deadpool’s persistence to be in Good Housekeeping was impressive – initially we had no idea who he was, let alone that he was a fan of the magazine,” said Francisco. “But after repeated attempts to ignore his… passion… we came to a compromise. He could appear in one issue, if he promised to stop leaving care packages at our editors’ homes and agreed to maintain a 50-foot distance from the Good Housekeeping offices and our staff.”
You can flick through the magazine here, and it is definitely worth the time.
Can we just skip every superhero movie until Deadpool 2 drops?

Deadpool 2, starring Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beets, and T.J. Miller, isn’t going to be in cinemas until the middle of next year, but that just means we’ve got a bunch of a wacky ancillary content to look forward to. It might seem strange to be pumping out ads this early, but considering the campaign for the first Deadpool was a bizarre smorgasbord of treats like his Australia Day video and this beautiful poop emoji billboard, we’re certainly not complaining.
