This Video Of Gang Of Youths’ Dave Le’aupepe Dancing Will Heal Your Soul
Excuse me, I need to lie down.
As we reported last December, music fans around the world have become entranced by the dance moves of Gang of Youths frontman Dave Le’aupepe.
So much so, in fact, that there are entire Facebook groups dedicated to Le’aupepe’s swaying hips — our favourite being ‘The Same Video Of David Le’aupepe Dancing To Different Songs’, which does pretty much exactly what the name suggests.
Luckily, there’s plenty of new material for music fans to indulge their obsession. Last night, the band took over the Enmore Theatre for one of the last stops on their Say Yes To Life tour, which has taken them across Australia and the world.
During ‘Let Me Down Easy’, Le’aupepe got his dance on, and his moves were captured by avid GOY fan Sam Spee, who promptly shared it to the Gang of Youths Appreciation Gang Facebook page. Given that the page is closed to only the most avid of GOY fans, Spee graciously shared the video with Music Junkee so we can all share in the glory that is Le’aupepe’s dancing.
The band will finish up their Australian shows with their headline slots at Laneway over the next couple of weeks, they’ll then head over to North America to continue touring their ARIA Award-winning album Go Farther In Lightness.
