Miracle Workers is an excellent existential comedy series that has delivered season after season of hilariously lighthearted nihilism and now the series has brought its greatest gift yet: Daniel Radcliffe voguing in glittery assless chaps.

If you’re a longtime fan of Radcliffe’s undeniably chaotic energy, then you need to check out Miracle Workers. Starring Radcliffe alongside Australia’s own Geraldine Viswanathan and Steve Buscemi, Miracle Workers is an anthological delight.  Each season is its own contained chaotic goodness with actors assuming new roles in each series.

The first season saw Radcliffe and Viswanathan as workers in the prayers department of heaven, attempting to win a bet against God (Steve Buscemi). Season two, aka Miracle Workers: Dark Ages, gave history’s darkest period a sitcom treatment in which Radcliffe played a dandy out of touch prince attempting to woo salt of the earth peasant, Alexandra Shitshoveler (Geraldine Viswanathan).

Miracle Workers’ most recent season, Oregon Trail sees the cast traipsing the famous large-wheeled wagon route trail in the United States during the 1850s at the height of Wild West shenanigans. Radcliffe plays anxious wreck, Reverand Ezekial who is once again hopelessly crushing on Geraldine Viswanathan’s incarnate for the series, Prudence Aberdeen as they walk the Oregon trail with their townsfolk.

In the most recent episode, ‘What Happens in Branchwater’, the travelling party make a pitstop in Branchwater. The town is renowned for it’s debaucherous reputation and Prudence is keen to get her party on. So, the Reverend decides to join in the fun, after a swig of snake oil.

The result is Daniel Radcliffe performing the most iconic, campiest sequence in Miracle Workers to date. A routine that sees him voguing in sparkling assless chaps to a remix of ‘She’ll Be Comin’ Round The Mountain’, all in an effort to woo the girl of his dreams.

You simply gotta appreciate Radcliffe’s devotion and enthusiasm here. The way he uses the stability of his Harry Potter money to throw himself wholeheartedly into smaller, strangely wonderful projects has always kept him in good stead with dedicated fans.
