The Brooklyn 99 cast have gone up and down the cancellation rollercoaster this year — the show was cancelled by Fox back in May, but after an insane fan insurgence was revived by NBC the very next day.

And as they started filming season six yesterday, cast members Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa), Joe Lo Truglio (Boyle), Chelsea Peretti (Gina) and Melissa Fumero (Amy) indulged fans with a few behind-the-scenes moments from the day.

Fumero put these shots up on her Instagram story throughout the day.

The scenes are particularly emotional for a crew that didn’t know whether they would have jobs on the Brooklyn 99 set just a few months ago. After both Hulu and Netflix passed on the series up, NBC renewed the show for another season.

“Mike Schur, Dan Goor and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up,” NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt said at the time.

We don’t know too much about the season yet — except that there will only be 13 episodes, not the 22 there have been in past seasons.

But we’re not too sad.
