Yet Again, Former PM Bob Hawke Has Skolled A Beer At The Cricket And Won Our Hearts
At 88, he's still got it.
Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke necking a beer at the cricket is fast becoming an Aussie tradition. He made headlines for doing it in 2012. He made headlines for doing it again in 2017. And today, a year and a day since his last cheeky cricket skoll, the 88-year-old legend did it again.
Broadcast live on the big screen at the SCG, backed by cheers from the crowd and commentated by Shane Warne, here it is:

And nevermind that it was a slower skoll than usual — the man is, after all, 88 — the people went mad for it. Social media right now is flooded with people loving the annual show.
it's the greatest day on the Australian sporting calendar – former PM Bob Hawke just sculled his annual beer on the big screen at the Sydney test cricket match

Anyway, the cricket itself is going fine, I think. More importantly, Bob Hawke is doing fine. We hope to see him back at age 89 for the annual tradition.
