Patti Smith And Dave Matthews Band Lead Bluesfest’s Massive First Line-Up Announce
2020 is going to be...big.
Australia’s premier blues and roots event Bluesfest has revealed the headlining acts for their 2020 event and folks, it’s a big one.
Despite circling the country on a ‘farewell’ tour back in 2017, punk icon Patti Smith has been announced as a headliner, alongside ‘Crash Into Me’ hitmakers Dave Matthews Band and Australian (or Kiwi, depending on where your allegiances fall) favourites Crowded House.
It’s big on internationals, with acts like George Benson, Morcheeba, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Brandi Carlile, Jenny Lewis, and Frank Turner all heading to Byron for Easter weekend. Blues legend John Mayall will also step up to deliver a set, as will festival favourites The Cat Empire and Xavier Rudd — check out the full line-up below.
As always, Bluesfest falls over Easter weekend, which in 2020 means Thursday April 9 to Monday April 13. Tickets are already on sale, head here for more details.
