The New ‘Black Panther’ Trailer Just Dropped, Promising The Greatest Superhero Film Ever
You need to drop everything and watch this.
The full trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther just dropped, and it demands your attention right now.
We’ve been pumped about Black Panther since the extraordinary teaser trailer was released in June. Incredibly, the full length trailer is even better, and promises probably the greatest superhero film of all time.
Seriously, this trailer’s got everything — extraordinary soundtrack, beautiful extended glimpses of Wakanda (the technologically advanced African nation the film’s set in, which we saw a glimpse of in the credits of the last Captain America film), and incredible fight scene choreography.
It also features a phenomenal — and almost entirely black — cast, which is long, long overdue in this genre. In addition to Chadwick Boseman returning as Black Panther, the film features Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. You can see them all in the film’s official poster below, which was also released this morning.

Frame by frame, the trailer’s also packed with stunning visuals. One in particular worth noting is this profoundly beautiful The Lion King reference, which may just be the most gorgeous shot to ever grace an action film.
"Remember who you are." The Black Panther and Lion King parallel. Wow. #BlackPanther pic.twitter.com/Zn3VPa2YS6

Basically, if you’re sick of the tired trope of superhero stories set in Manhattan and dominated by white people, this film is gonna deliver. The film itself comes out in February 2018, but in the meantime you can watch the trailer over and over again below.
