Happy Beyoncé day! The queen has revolved around the sun exactly 36 times as of today (or we’ve revolved around her, fact check pls), and the world is celebrating in spectacular style.

To mark the legend’s birthday, social media has turned into a flood of tributes, songs and gifs with #BeyDay trending. Jay Z has led an entire festival crowd in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to his wife. The US literally has the day off (Labor Day is in honour of Tina Knowles’ labour, yeah?). And, best of all, the extraordinary women in her life — including her mother, daughter, Destiny’s Child bandmates (long live Michelle), and the former first lady Michelle Obama — have dressed in full ‘Formation’ get-up and posted a series of loving portraits online.

Yep, that’s Serena Williams just casually doing a photoshoot with Jay Z’s grandma. This is the only squad I care about.

The above portraits were posted on beyonce.com this morning with a prompt to donate to the BeyGOOD fundraising campaign, which provides support to the people of Houston after Hurricane Harvey.

These, of course, aren’t the only shoutouts the star is getting. Birthday wishes from other stars, including Adele and Lady Gaga, are pouring in on Twitter.

Also, not for nothing, this guy’s excellent mum is getting in on the action.
