Liam Stapleton Was In A High School Glam Band, And Yes, Their Only Single Is Now Online

“It’s part of my history that I’m not necessarily proud of, it’s something I really wish we weren’t talking about quite frankly.”

Listen, we all did things we probably regret in high school. On muck-up day, I dressed up as my history teacher, and when I barged into the classroom, he didn’t laugh or anything. He said, “Oh’, and looked like he was about to cry.

I’m sure you have a similar story. This is because we are sometimes fools when we are young, and do foolish things that reverberate through history and cause us to stay awake at night, stressing.

But is the guilty secret in your past that you were a member of a glam rock band called Love Sabre? Nope? Then you’re doing better than radio personality Liam Stapleton.

Sadly, Stapleton, one half of radio duo Ben and Liam, was in the musical group for only a limited amount of time. They stuck together for just one single, titled ‘Sabre Attack’, before going their separate ways.

But hey, at least there’s still a recording floating around from that fateful tune. And even better, you can listen to it right now, thanks to the heroic work of Ben.

Yep, in what was pretty much an elaborate prank on his on-air partner, Ben decided to give Love Sabre their first go-around on commercial radio.

“It’s part of my history that I’m not necessarily proud of, it’s something I really wish we weren’t talking about quite frankly,” Stapleton said.

And if you missed it, never fear — you can listen to the whole thing right here.

Oh, and that’s not all the Love Sabre content we’ve got, either. According to Stapleton and as reported by Music Feeds, the first time the band played, he made his grand entrance on the back of a toy donkey.

” I went to a Christian school. They used [the fake donkey] mainly for the nativity scene play around Christmas but I thought, pretty cool entrance if I came in on that.”

What more can you say? Looks like we stan Love Sabre. Thanks Ben & Liam for bringing them into our lives.
