Ball Park Music Covered ‘Hey Jude’ And It Was Gloriously Chaotic
NAAAAAH NAAHHH NAAAAH NAH NAH NAH NAAAHHHHHHHH!
Earlier this week, Brisbane favourites Ball Park Music dropped by ABC’s new music show The Set to show off their chops in front of the live studio audience.
As is tradition on The Set, at the end of the show they invited their fellow musical guests — Melbourne’s Angie McMahon and ‘Hunger’ hitmaker Tia Gostelow — on stage for a big old sing-a-long.
And because they have no fear, they decided to cover the Beatles’ iconic 1968 track ‘Hey Jude’. They stick fairly closely to the original recording — but kick things up a notch at the end for a beautifully chaotic finish. Watch below.
The Set will finish its run on ABC next week, having been locked in for a limited season throughout Aus music month.
There’s a chance it may be able to be resurrected after that, so if you dig having live music on your TV, maybe give it a watch. And while you’re at it, read our feature on how the show came together.
