"Staying at Elon Musk's house has been like a real episode of 'Get Out'."

Azealia Banks has been promising her Fantasy II: The Second Wave mixtape for a solid six years now, and looks like there’s been another delay: Grimes bailed on a planned recording session, reportedly leaving Banks alone in Elon Musk’s mansion for “days”. Banks, of course, live-blogged about it on her Instagram story, and it’s a bumpy ride.

The two have been teasing a collab for a long time now, and two weeks ago Grimes told a Twitter fan she was waiting for Banks to come to LA to record over her beats. Assumedly their wires got crossed, as yesterday Banks posted an Instagram story which said she showed up at Musk’s Bel Air mansion to find no Grimes.

“Literally been sitting at Elon Musk’s house alone for days waiting for @grimes to show up and start these sessions,” she wrote. “I have no idea when she is coming back. I’m going to wait one more day then I’m going to go home.”

While we love the image of Banks wandering into an empty mansion and politely plopping down on a chaise lounge, she provided a little more context. She alleges Grimes was there at first, but was a little distracted by her beau’s acid-related melt-down.

“I waited around all weekend while Grimes coddled her boyfriend for being too stupid to know not to go on Twitter while on acid,” she alleged. “Then she had the nerve to go ghost and ‘book me a first class flight’ thru Roc Nation, as if she’s big enough to send ME out of LA. Ha!”

In an interview with Business Insider, Banks later clarified that Musk’s alleged meltdown was about struggling to secure private investors for Tesla after he may have broken the law last week by tweeting about selling Tesla shares for $420.

This weekend, Musk mostly stuck to Tweeting about short shorts.

Back on Instagram, Banks also suggested that she was only invited for “some weird threesome sex shit to begin with”, and talked a lot of shit about Musk being a “fake ass libertarian shit bag” whose wealth was built off South African apartheid.

For the record, Musk’s press team has told Spin that the couple did not invite Banks over for a threesome, calling it “absolute nonsense”. They wouldn’t confirm whether Banks had been to Musk’s home, but did say “Elon has never even met or communicated with [Banks] in any way.”

She’s also said she’ll never work with Grimes again — it’s a far cry from May, when Banks was one of the few people who Tweeted approval when Musk and Grimes appeared together at the Met Gala. Guess that’s just the price of doing business in America.

At the very least, it’s given Twitter yet another Grusk kerfuffle to joke about.
