When you think ‘nightclub’ you don’t necessarily think ‘lots of room’. The best dancefloors in the world are usually cramped, packed places, where you can’t jive for a second without bumping your elbow up someone’s nostril.

But two Australian brothers — Harry Nathan Labrakis and Evangelos ‘Boonie’ Labrakis — have taken the limited scale of the dancefloor to the next level, taking out the Guinness World Record for “smallest mobile nightclub.”

I’m sure you have some questions right off the bat. The first being, presumably: there’s a Guinness Record for “smallest mobile nightclub?” To which I say to ye of little faith, there’s a Guinness Record for everything. Didn’t you pour over those hardback books of records like the rest of us?

Second question on your lips, I’m sure, is: well, how small is this nightclub? To which the answer is, extremely. The “Doof Shed” as the two brothers named it, resembles little more than a portaloo, though in the promotional video dropped to celebrate the record win, they manage to fit at least six people in there (seven is apparently the maximum.)

Size aside, the nightclub is the real deal, featuring a full speaker system, a mirror ball, a smoke machine, and enough tunes to keep partygoers entertained until the moment they begin to feel claustrophobic.

Just goes to show, necessity truly is the mother of invention. If you want to visit the Doof Shed in person, you can sign up via the website.
