Let’s All Remember The Superbly Weird ‘Ariel Needs Legs’

Everyone is currently buzzing about the casting for Disney’s new The Little Mermaid reboot, especially because of the recently announced casting of Ariel. Cool!

But, because of all this extremely relevant entertainment news, I cannot stop thinking about the video ‘Ariel Needs Legs’.

Created by brilliant comedian Neil Cicierega back in the innocent days of 2013, it is in my humble opinion, the definitive story of The Little Mermaid. You might also remember Neil Cicierega as the creator of the brilliant Potter Puppet Pals, or the viral Mouth Sounds. Probs some other stuff too.

Look, it’s very funny. The whole premise is that Ursula gives Ariel eight legs, instead of two, because Ursula is an octopus. Makes sense!

“I’m a prince. You sound like two horses,” says the dipshit Prince Eric to Ariel, as she scuttles along next to him.

“Seven vagánias”. Ah, this thing kills me.
