Anna Sorokin — the fake heiress behind Netflix’s latest series Inventing Anna — may still be in prison for her fraud charges, but that doesn’t mean she has stopped trying to make bank.

For those unfamiliar, Sorokin — also known as Anna Delvey — is a 31-year-old Russian con artist who convinced banks, hotels, investors and “friends” she was a German heiress with a $67 million trust fund. Her life story is now being told in Netflix’s latest series Inventing Anna, which tells a dramatised version of her life and crimes.

For obvious reasons, many of the characters in the show have different names to their IRL counterparts — as many people have been quick to distance themselves from the former socialite-turned-con-artist. Perhaps the character we’re most desperate to unmask is Sorokin’s tech bro boyfriend Chase Sikorski.

And thankfully, Sorokin — who is currently in jail in New York where she is awaiting deportation — is willing to divulge that information, if you’re willing to pay. In an Instagram story posted on Thursday, Sorokin announced she would divulge the information to the highest bidder, with the auction kicking off at $10,000.

“Want to know who the real “Chase” is? The media outlet with the highest bid gets the exclusive. Bid starts at $10K. DM to bid,” she posted on Instagram.

It is unclear if any media outlets have bid on the inside scoop yet, but it would hardly be surprising considering Inventing Anna is currently the most watched show on Netflix, with a whopping 77,310,000 watched hours so far.

As part of the deal with Netflix, Sorokin was paid $320,000 for the rights to adapt her story into a series. However, $198,000 of this went to the victims, while the remainder was chewed up in legal fees. It is unclear how much Sorokin still owes to her victims, but it appears any extra cash would be beneficial.

Sorokin was convicted on eight counts of fraud in 2019 and sentenced to four to 12 years in prison, but was released in February 2021. She was re-arrested six weeks later for overstaying her visa and is now in police custody, awaiting deportation.
