We don’t want to put the cart before the horse here, as it were, but there’s a fairly good chance that the Andrew/Scomo press conference meme will be the greatest of 2020.
The confrontation between Prime Minister Scott Morrison and ABC political editor Andrew Probyn has been memed to the moon and back since it was first conceived two weeks ago.
Recently, it got a new facelift thanks to triple j’s Sally and Erica mashing it with Duke Dumont’s thumping ‘Red Light Green Light’ — which fits with it so perfectly it’s almost hard to imagine it wasn’t intended for that very purpose.
And now, it’s evolved again — this time being rendered into a devastatingly sexy love song by TikTok user Gabbi (@fettuccinefettuqueen, which may be one of the better usernames on the app).
Sure, we didn’t know we needed to hear Morrison’s words cascading over sultry jazz piano chords, but we’re so glad it exists. Watch the full video below.
