Win Tickets To A Preview Screening Of ‘What We Do In The Shadows’

From the team behind 'Flight Of The Conchords' and 'Eagle vs Shark', it's the best New Zealand mockumentary about a sharehouse full of vampires that you'll probably ever see.

You know that thing, where you live in a sharehouse with a group of people for a while, and there’s rosters, and tension, and not everyone’s pulling their weight? And then somebody new wants to join, and messes up the dynamic even more?

And also you can’t leave the house at daytime and need a ready stream of virgin blood, because all of you are vampires?

What We Do In The Shadows is a brand new mockumentary out of New Zealand, written by, directed by and starring Flight Of The Conchords’ Jemaine Clement, and Taika Waititi from Boy and Eagle vs Shark.

It was the closing night film of Sydney Film Festival, and the funniest one on the roster — and includes perhaps my favourite line of any film this year, delivered by Conchords’ Rhys Darby: “We’re werewolves, not swearwolves.”

We’re offering 50 Sydney readers and 50 Melbourne readers a double pass to next week’s preview screenings, ahead of the film’s release on September 4.

Sydney: Tuesday August 26 @ Event Cinemas, George Street
Melbourne: Thursday August 28 @ Cinema Nova
