While You Were Sleeping, We Were Watching The New Tim & Eric Show
Here are some things that happened overnight. Featuring a new Macklemore & Ryan Lewis clip, the trailer for James Franco's Gucci documentary, and Tim & Eric's GoPro Show.
New Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Clip:
Everyone’s favourite white-rapping/thrift-shopping/gay-rights-activisting duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are back in the new clip for ‘Can’t Hold Us’. The song, featuring Ray Dalton, comes off the hit-spawning Heist album, but was actually released first in 2011; it’s since featured on ads for Microsoft Outlook and Miller Beer.
In the quite-majestic clip, Macklemore, Ryan and Ray carry an appropriated American flag around the world — over sea, snow and camel — back to their hometown of Seattle. The flag is printed with the word ‘Heist’. Because of symbolism.
Tim & Eric’s GoPro Show:
Here’s some news that will be extremely exciting to roughly 12% of you, vaguely exciting to 52% of you, and confusing to the rest: Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (of Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Tom Goes To The Mayor and Check It Out! With Dr. Steve Brule) have released a new mockumentary series on Jash, the YouTube channel launched last month by Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, Reggie Watts and Tim & Eric.
The premise of The GoPro Show has the two brilliant goofballs wearing cameras on their head to document their life. “We’ve gotten thousands of emails from fans saying ‘what’s life like for Tim & Eric every day?’ And guess what. It’s exciting. It’s exhilerating. And it’s totally extreme.’ Spoiler: it’s not.
That was the first episode; two more are available at Jash, and there will be six all up.
