The Sound Alliance — Junkee’s parent company, who also publish FasterLouder, inthemix, AWOL, SameSame and Mess+Noise — have three jobs available at once, all in our Surry Hills office.

We’re looking for a native editor, a marketing assistant and an account executive. Read more about the roles below.

NATIVE EDITOR:

As Native Editor you’ll be responsible for helping brands tell amazing stories. A creative thinker and excellent communicator with strong editing skills, you’ll be just as comfortable dealing with some of the biggest brands in Australia as subbing a 3000-word longform feature article. As Native Editor you’ll be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage a project from start to end. Working alongside the Managing Editor, Content Director and Native Studio Manager, you’ll slot seamlessly into our Native Studio team and liaise closely with our sites’ Editors to help bring branded campaigns to life.

The ideal candidate will have several years of real-world experience as an editor, with a background in digital marketing and sales preferable, but not essential. You’ll be well versed in social media and how to get our clients’ content seen as widely as possible, so a proven track record of amplifying content digitally will be looked upon very favourably. We want someone who is personable, thinks strategically and is passionate about the future direction of an ever-changing digital landscape. This is a great opportunity to work at the cutting edge of Australian online media and a chance to carve out a name for yourself in a burgeoning sector of the industry.

If this sounds like you, email your cover letter and resume to [email protected] by June 17, and note the job title “Native Editor” in the subject line.
