Gillian Robespierre’s debut feature Obvious Child premiered at Sundance, and delighted pretty much everyone. The film follows Donna, a stand-up comedian played by Jenny Slate (Mona Lisa in Parks and Recreation; Tammy in Bob’s Burgers; ‘Marcel The Shell With Shoes On‘), who has a drunken one night stand with Max (Jack Lacy, The Office), gets pregnant, and decides to get an abortion.
Obvious Child wins bonus points for including David Cross (Arrested Development) and Gaby Hoffmann (who plays Adam’s crazy sister in Girls) amongst its cast. The trailer has just come out, and it looks pretty great.
Obvious Child gets released in the States on June 6.
