"We're like Will and Grace if they were unlikeable and not so attractive."

With the support of Parks and Rec co-star Amy Poehler as executive producer, Billy “Billy On The Street” Eichner now has a brand new show starting up on Hulu. Premiering next week in the US, Difficult People will see Eichner playing a slightly more douchey version of himself alongside long-time collaborator Julie Klausner, and generally running just around New York being terrible to people.

After a short teaser at the start of the month, the first full trailer was just released this morning and we now know there’ll also be a bunch of great cameos. Kate McKinnon is doing magic for some reason, Martin Short is insulting people, and Debbie Harry is also there looking suitably (and stylishly) disappointed.

Also these guys:

Hi friends!

Eichner and Klausner actually went on Late Night this week to talk about the project and revealed that Fred Armisen will be Billy’s brother and Seth Meyers will be playing a gay sex worker. Speaking more generally about their own roles on the show, they also described themselves as “Will and Grace is they were unlikeable and not so attractive”. Perfect.

Difficult People premieres in the US on August 5.
