Hamm’s off-Mad Men comedy performances are legendary — his guest appearance on Comedy Death Ray saw him get into a fight with Paul F Tompkins’ impersonation of John C Reilly, while his turn on Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns will make you question the existence of God.
None of it would work half as well if Hamm wasn’t completely on board — the fact that he’s genuinely funny as well as disgustingly handsome and super-nice inspires a strange kind of resentment mixed with a heavy dose of lust. “Lustsentment”, maybe.
