Hey boys and girls!

HBO sent us a Christmas letter, to talk through what happened to them this year, and let us know what they’ve got planned for the next one! Let’s sit around and read it all together, shall we?

Dear Viewers,

Well, gosh. It only feels like a week ago we were making a montage out of stuff we’d broadcast in 2013, but here we are, gingerbread in hand (and belly!), doing it again.

What a busy year it’s been. Uncles Matthew and Woody solved a crime, which we know you were all very excited about. Oh, and your aunty Julia became president! Yes, some sad things happened, like the passing of Steve Buscemi the gangster, and the cancelling of that news show your father liked. But, on the bright side, your cousin’s new app company thingy (it’s okay we don’t understand it either — maybe he can fax us some instructions!) in Silicon Valley is apparently going well.

Little Lena is still trying hard to find the right “path” in life, but she’s “working” on her “writing”, and we’re sure she’s going to have a bright 2015! Those rowdy boys are still playing Dungeons and Dragons and Hodor in the basement, and it seems to have attracted even more attention throughout the neighbourhood. Here’s some pictures of their latest dress-up day!

Also there is a show called The Leftovers.

What do we have in store for next year? Well, a new family is moving in next door, called Togetherness (yes, we think it’s pretty on the nose too), and they’ll probably be having married hi-jinks. Also a remake of 70s cult robot cowboy flick Westworld, Damon and Affleck bring back their movie-making reality show Project Greenlight, and there’s going to be a political satire starring Jack Black and Tim Robbins called The Brink. And the Rock has a show called Ballers, which, of course he does.

Sorry, the letter gimmick fell apart when we tried to include real info about upcoming television.

Happy Holidays!

Love, HBO.
