Tom Hardy Is A Big Gummy Mess In The New ‘Venom’ Trailer

Venom is Sony’s big new attempt at creating an extended universe for Spiderman to sling himself around in. It also looks really weird and maybe bad? But hey, there’s a new trailer.

We know that Venom follows the story of journalist Eddie Brock, who, in the course of his investigation into something mysterious and sinister that a company or perhaps the government is doing with space goo, gets exposed to the alien symbiot “venom”.

Venom, as far as we can tell, really enjoys speaking in a deep voice in Eddie’s head and making him kill people. He’s kinda being billed as an ‘anti-hero’, a bad guy we can cheer on, because he fights other bad guys?

The first trailer was kinda comical, whereas this one goes for a more serious, “let’s be impressed by this gross gooey monster” angle. I don’t know — it does seem like we finally have the superhero film that lovers of Gak have been waiting for.

I don’t know anything about this Venom character, but he certainly looks like some kind of nightmare penis.
