Planes have been on people’s minds lately, what with quite a few crashing on runways and disappearing into the Indian Ocean and mistakenly being shot down by Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine and all. This morning it looked like Jetstar would be the latest airline to give its PR people a headache when a flight attendant on a Gold Coast to Sydney flight told passengers returning from Splendour that sniffer dogs were waiting at the airport and they should flush “anything you shouldn’t have” down the toilet.

According to Channel Seven’s Sunrise the incident “sparked outrage”, despite providing literally no examples of anyone anywhere giving a single fuck about this.

Jetstar did what any airline would do and issued an apology a few hours ago, saying: “the crew member’s words were poorly chosen and are plainly at odds with the professional standards we’d expect from our team. We’re addressing the matter with the cabin crew member involved”.

Naturally, people took to the airline’s Facebook page to voice their outrage at such a dastardly occurrence.

Wait, what? What glory is this?

STRAYA. YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN. True patriotism exists this day!

It’s almost as if people don’t mind the idea of not getting fined and imprisoned for possessing small amounts of recreational drugs! Who knew?

That guy just scored Jetstar a boatload of new custom. Somewhere, Shannon Noll is looking up after a hard day’s shearing sheep and wiping a single, solitary tear from his Aussie eyes. Good work, everyone.
