The ABC’s new comedy channel has gotten off to one hell of a start, taking aim at disgraced TV horticulturalist and alleged sexual harasser Don Burke with a gardening show of their own.

Monday night saw the launch of the public broadcaster’s new comedy channel, and with it the first episode of Tonightly with Tom Ballard, a satirical news and talk show in the vein of The Daily Show and Last Week Tonight. Host Tom Ballard broke down some of the biggest news stories of the week, including the banking royal commission and whatever the hell Donald Trump is up to.

But by far the most memorable moment came courtesy of comedian Greta Lee Jackson, who got her own gardening segment in which she gave tips on “how to nurture a sexual harasser in the TV and film industry.”

“Over the decades, you’re going to be getting more rumours, complaints and reports about your harasser,” explains Jackson. “What I like to do is just bury them. Deep down. And then I add an extra layer of top soil, just to make sure those pesky journalists won’t be digging those stories up until years later.”

“Now let’s talk about weeding out the troublemakers,” she continues. “Sometimes women will speak out against the harasser, casting a shadow and making it difficult for him to thrive. So to make sure this infestation doesn’t get out of control, here are some handy phrases that are industry standard. ‘Emotional’, ‘you’re overreacting’, ‘victim mentality’, and my personal favourite, ‘can’t take a joke’.”

You can watch the entire sketch below.

Tonightly with Tom Ballard airs on ABC Comedy 9pm each weeknight.
