Lara Croft Falls Off Things A Whole Bunch In The Thrilling New ‘Tomb Raider’ Trailer
She also raids some tombs.
Beloved action-hero and world’s most unprofessional archaeologist Lara Croft is back in a fresh trailer for the reboot of Tomb Raider, and folks, she likes to fall off from tall things.
We get a lot of details about what we can expect from the new Tomb Raider in the fast-paced and action packed trailer – we get some fights, we get some falls, and we get some tombs which will presumably be raided.
The story hinges around Lara Croft, played by Ex Machina’s Alicia Vikander, who decides to search for her missing and presumed dead father on a mysterious island in the middle of the “Devil Sea”, and uncovering some sort of plot which involves global genocide. Vikander inherits the lofty Croft mantle from both Angelina Jolie and the beloved pixelated video game character from which the franchise springs, and looks to truly delve deeply into its puzzle-solving roots.

It’s also worth pointing out that this trailer features two extremely good moments, which are the slowed down version of ‘Survivor’ by Destiny’s Child happening all through it, and the moment where the bad guy yells “open the tomb”, because they’re both so incredibly on brand for this film.
Absolutely LOVE what they did with Destiny Child’s Survivor in this trailer as well. #TombRaider FTW. Really think this film is going to be magic (I’m a bit biased though)
