Around 79 percent of all Australian women have experienced some kind of street harassment including but not limited to dudebros honking car horns, yelling lewd comments and whistling like they’re summoning an excitable Jack Russell. For some weird reason, it doesn’t usually end in total appreciation and passionate lovemaking.

Regardless, some brave men are persisting, continuing to perfect the strange and unsubtle art of threatening women’s safety for kicks. These are men like this guy: a throughly unappealing New Yorker who unknowingly entered into a Buzz60 report condemning catcalling.

The logo on his shirt is a Playboy bunny with ears in the shape of marijuana, and he likes to wave at women in the same way as the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. What a catch!

When questioned on Twitter whether the bit was scripted, Patrick Jones, the reporter from the clip, assured everyone the guy wasn’t a setup.

“I was interviewing two men who were saying how catcalling was wrong and he overheard and felt strongly,” he said.

So, you know, well done this guy for standing up for his convictions!
