I don’t get cats — all the ones in my neighbourhood ignore me or give me the stink-eye — but some people think they’re great. So good, in fact, that they’ll spend more than a decade constructing elaborate cat playgrounds out of their own houses for their cats to run wild in forever.

Greg Krueger, who lives in the city of St James in Minnesota, has spent the last fifteen years cutting holes in his walls and building ramps, tunnels, passages and stairways for his four cats to explore. Krueger was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome last year and lives alone, but his passion for building has given his four cats a pretty sweet deal in life. He is clearly all about those cats, too, so it’s a win-win.

I would not stay in that house. I don’t want cats coming out of the walls when I’m trying to sleep. I do not trust them. I do not trust the cats.
