Things Aren’t Looking Good For Harry Styles In The Trailer For Chris Nolan’s WWII Epic ‘Dunkirk’

It looks like he might die, and One Direction fans are not coping.

The first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk has arrived and it is seriously intense.

Centred on the Battle of Dunkirk – a pivotal campaign during the Second World War that saw more than 330,000 Allied soldiers successfully evacuated across the English Channel – the film looks beautiful and haunting and like a spiritual successor to Saving Private Ryan, only shot in IMAX with 100 per cent more Harry Styles.

Styles isn’t the only famous face in the film, with Nolan having assembled a stacked ensemble including Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh. Still, it’s the One Direction member who’s causing the most commotion on the internet, with fans losing their goddamn minds over a moment late in the trailer where Styles appears to be drowning.

Odds are Styles doesn’t actually die in this scene, because it’d be a real dick move to give that away in the trailer. But if you thought that would stop all 29.6 million of his twitter followers from having a full blown meltdown, then you clearly don’t spend much time on the internet.
