The Trailer for the Grumpy Cat Movie is Here and It’s the BLURST
It's like the internet had a baby with every awful Christmas movie from your childhood.
It’s here. It’s really happening. The Grumpy Cat movie produced by Lifetime and starring Aubrey Plaza just got its first trailer. While we were beyond excited to hear the undisputed queen of sarcasm and sass was going to join forces with the legendary feline and living meme, the results are very confusing. Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever is the absolute blurst.
Starring that perky voiceover guy from every feel-good hit of the ’90s, this trailer feels like something you might watch in a doctor’s waiting room. Here’s what we can deduce: Grumpy Cat is the smack-talking sidekick of some annoying little girl, she frowns at carol singers and then blows stuff up for reasons.
We know it’s a kid’s movie. We know it’s a Lifetime flick. Grumpy Cat even pokes fun at that in the trailer, but part of us was expecting more. Don’t get us wrong — we’re still going to hate-watch the hell out of it. But we’ve secretly got our fingers crossed that Nick Offerman has the inside scoop on what’s really happening:
Oh, hi, everyone. This is sposed to be funny, even though @evilhag is in it to drag us all into her evil sex web. https://t.co/Re47eGpCHE
