The New ‘Arrested Democracy’ Tumblr Is Here To Fill The Void
Arrested Development quotes on photos of Australian politicians. Gold.
When Kevin 2000 hung up its boots, it seemed like Australian political satire was dead for good — until some legend out there in the aether realised that quotes from Arrested Development look right at home under pictures of the giant, besuited Bluth family that is Australia’s political class.
It’s the perfect pairing — everyone’s favourite bunch of wealthy, corrupt, out of touch and irredeemably obnoxious misanthropes, and a popular comedy program on Netflix.
Did you…see, what I did there was…never mind.
The idea’s been explored before; someone stitched a trailer with the same punchline together back in June, but hopefully the new gag sticks around for longer than thirty seconds. It’s already a hit on Twitter, because Twitter is where bored people go to be intelligent at one another and slowly, slowly die.

I believe part of why http://t.co/iCFIyl1kTT works so well is because the government are all so rich and stupid *taps side of nose*

To be fair, Scott Morrison actually comes across as less objectionable in this format.
